Who knows. Just a thought anyways. Well im off to bed. I am probably 100 post of 6k but im in no rush to get there. I think i posted myabe 15-20 replies today and that was it. Ok by my though. Taking care of my girlfriend is takign up alot of my time. So is tennis and school.Though i get Wedensday and Thursday off thank goodness. So maybe ill hit it by then. eh who knows who cares. Oh, well I guess I better stop with that then, I know that political views are not supposed to be allowed on many boards, but I figured this one was more lax. Ah well, I guessed wrong, it is all for the better in my opinion, no need to have a pointless argument over politics.

All I want is for us to be able to find an alternative to oil or to stop consuming sooo much. If you look at the stats, the US consumes 20.5 million barrels of oil per day, where as the most highly-populated country in the world and our closest competitor for oil, China, uses 6.5 million barrels per day.

Personally, I think that if we don't do something about this soon, and I mean in this year, 2006, then we will never be able to turn back. We, IMO, have almost reached the tipping point, and once we get past that point, the world will never be the same again. For example, even though all scientific evidence points to us as the source of the problem of global warming and the fact that we are pumping more CO2 into the atmosphere than ever, we fail to do anything about it. No, even with gas prices rising, we still drive our SUV's and we still pump greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

The science is there, but as always, when the science can make a difference it is ignored, then, people finally come around when it is too late. I am sick of seeing the school parking lot full of SUV's and trucks whose owners live across the street from the school (relatively speaking). The only reason I am able to say this is because I ride my bike to school every day. You may say "Well, what difference will it make if you ride your bike to school, you're just one person!" Well, I will conclude in saying that everything starts with a ripple, and in saying that this has been the first year in the history of the school in which the bike racks have been full every single day, rain or shine, and every day there are more people biking to school. This is what we need...change and like it or not it is going to come, it is just up to us how it will come.
